Character of the Month of November: Momonga/Ainz Ooal Gown

Greetings, everyone!  I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving and stocked up on turkey and other goodies.  But now I’m back and ready to unveil November’s Character of the Month.  In all honesty, this one really wasn’t hard to decide.  Being one of the most powerful and epic characters I’ve seen, I don’t think it was any surprise who took the title.  So enough beating around the bush and let’s get to this month’s Character of the Month, Momonga/Ains Ooal Gown from Overlord.
After the sever to a long-running MMORPG shuts down, Momonga finds himself trapped within the world of Yggdrasil.  Wanting to know more about this strange world, he ventures out on a mission to gather as much information as he can, and later changes his name to Ainz Ooal Gown.  Although Ainz makes new friends and allies along the way, something sinister is happening.  But it shouldn’t be too big of a problem for Ainz to handle.
Ainz is probably one of the most interesting anime characters I’ve seen, and that’s not because he’s super powerful (okay, maybe a little).  Many anime characters who gain some sort of super power or weapon usually suck at harnessing the power they have the first go around.  Granted, this isn’t the case with most anime, and Overlord is one of these animes.  From the beginning of the series, Ainz is a powerful character from the get go-unbelievably powerful for that matter.  So for me, it’s pretty impressive what kind of power Ainz throws at enimes, plus other characters-aside from those within Ainz’s own clan-get quite the shock when they see him in action.  Also, Ainz is probably the last character in an anime that you’d take for a protagonist.  Given his power and his appearance, anyone could easily mistake him for a villain.  Still, hero or villain, you would NOT want to go up against Ainz in a fight.  Like I said, Ainz is a pretty interesting character; not only being one of the most powerful characters I’ve seen in an anime, but also one of the least likely characters to be the hero.  So keep doing what you do Ainz Ooal Gown/Momonga, cause you’re Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of November.

Greetings all and welcome to Hanime on Anime, the blog for otakus by a fellow otaku herself!  To give you all a sum of what to expect from this sight, Hanime on Anime is a blog that does weekly posts on every Sunday on anime and anime related topics.  The posts, for now, will consist of anime reviews, but I hope to do other things like discussions on anime themes and countdowns of my bests in anime. Character of the Month of April: Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I think you saw this one coming.   I’m back this beautiful Sunday with this month’s Character- or Characters of the Month!   And yeah, if you read the title, I think it’s pretty obvious who was going to take it.   Cause let’s face it The End of Evangelion’s Shinji wasn’t going to take it anytime soon, especially not after the hospital scene.   But still, all kidding aside, I think this month’s picks really are worthy of the title, not just in their actions, but what they represent.   That being said, let’s talk about this month’s Characters of the Month of April, Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya from A Silent Voice . To keep things brief and less long-winded, A Silent Voice follows Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya as the two form a close friendship with each other despite the fact that the two shared a rough past.   With Nishimiya being deaf, this made her a target for bullying by Ishida as a child.   But when his bullying goes too far and Nishimiya
