Character of the Month of January: Elias Ainsworth

Greetings, fabulous peoples!  January is coming to a close, and that means it’s time to reveal this month’s -and 2018’s first- Character of the Month!  This month’s pick was, quite frankly, pretty much decided after reviewing the show he came from.  He kind of stole my heart from episode one.  Well I can’t ramble on about this guy forever, so let’s dive right in and talk about this month’s Character of the Month of January: Elias Ainsworth from The Ancient Magus Bride!
Where do I begin with this guy?  Well for one, he looks so cool!  This is one of the coolest character designs I have ever seen!  It can be terrifying at times, but it’s overall a very imaginative look.  In a way, it kind of adds to the magical feel to this show.  Elias also has a very unique personality to him, too.  I like the fact that he’s so socially awkward and even blunt to other people, especially non-magical beings.  Sometimes it almost makes me think of Beauty and the Beast.  Sure, the beast was very short tempered, but there is almost this disconnect with how the outside world works that he almost doesn’t know how to react.  Elias is kind of like the, not just in personality, but in looks too.  In fact, he’s so much so that at times he’s a little more interesting than Chise.  And don’t even get me started when he goes into his kick-ass mode!  While he can be very fascinating to look at most of the time, he has some moments particularly in episodes seven and eight- where he turns into this giant monster that could kill you in a heartbeat.  Overall this was just such a cool character!  So keep being magical and awesome, Elias, cause you’re Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of January!
Now, about a certain something going on next month that I was supposed to announce.  Truth be told, I just got back from a little weekend vacation, so I haven’t had the chance to get anything put together.  I know what shows I’ll be doing; that hasn’t’ changed.  But as far as getting going with anything related to next month hasn’t made any progress.  Still, everything should be ready by next Sunday.  Until then, expect a full announcement on Thursday!

Character of the Month of April: Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I think you saw this one coming.   I’m back this beautiful Sunday with this month’s Character- or Characters of the Month!   And yeah, if you read the title, I think it’s pretty obvious who was going to take it.   Cause let’s face it The End of Evangelion’s Shinji wasn’t going to take it anytime soon, especially not after the hospital scene.   But still, all kidding aside, I think this month’s picks really are worthy of the title, not just in their actions, but what they represent.   That being said, let’s talk about this month’s Characters of the Month of April, Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya from A Silent Voice .
