Hanime on Anime

Hello world!  October is coming to an end, which not only means Halloween is just around the corner, but it’s also time to reveal this month’s Character of the Month.  I know October was a short month-by no fault of my own-, but I did get to review some fantastic horror-animes.  That much said, this month’s character was a shoe-in; after reviewing the shows for this month, I knew this character would take the spot.  Who can I possibly be talking about?  I’m talking about the leading character from my first review of the month, Parasyte: The Maxim , Shinichi Izumi! Shinichi Izumi was an ordinary high school student until a strange man-eating creature called a parasite attacked him and devoured his right arm.  Trapped in a situation where he cannot tell anyone about the predicament he’s in, he and Migi-the parasite who attacked him-must learn to not only coexist with each other but also stay wary of other parasites who have taken up hosts in the humans they’ve eaten.  For Shinichi,

Greetings, everybody!  October has begun-as of four days ago-, and that means Halloween is coming, which also means reviews on horror animes all month long!  Starting off this month will be one horror anime that I have been wanting to review for a long time now.  Released October of last year, this show caught my attention and I’ve stuck with it for the majority of the show’s duration.  Several months later I knew that I would review this show.  And the timing couldn’t be more appropriate for a review because the English dub was released just last night on Toonami.  What show can I possibly be talking about?  I’m talking about the creepy crawly, bloody and gory Parasyte: The Maxim ! Based on the late eighties manga series of the same name, Parasyte follows high school student Shinichi Izumi after he goes through some unusual events.  One night, an insect-like creature attacks Shinichi and burrows into his arm.  The following day, he discovers that his hand has been taken over by a
