Character of the Month: Joseph Joestar

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!   The end of June is here and that means it’s time to reveal this month’s Character of the Month!   This month’s pick was really not that hard to choose given that I had a pretty well known show on my review table this month.   So, yeah, it seemed kind of ridiculous not to consider this guy.   Plus, even with a well known show on my hands, I still felt like a lot of what I reviewed was either lack-luster or something I pulled out at the last minute.   But part of that was due to a very busy and hectic summer.   This month’s pick was still worthwhile regardless, though.   Anyways, let’s get on to talking about June’s Character of the Month, Joseph Joestar from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the Battle Tendency arc! I’m going to assume that you all either know about Battle Tendency or that you’ve at least read my review on it because I’m going to skip the synopsis this time around and go straight to the point here.   I’ve said before that Jojo’s Bizarr

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!   You may notice that this week, I'm not doing a review.   As a special post in honor of Father's Day, I've decided to do a countdown, but not just any ordinary countdown.   That's right, it's going to be a double hitter as I'll be doing two countdowns!   Admittedly, this double list is making up for the fact I didn't do anything special for Mother's Day-but then again, it was Miyazaki May, so what can you do?   But in all seriousness, though, this was a post I'd been saving for some time now.   So let's dive in!      Our parents do a lot for us, don't they?   Besides supporting our otaku hobbies, they love us, care for us, sometimes even feed us or help pay the rent...well, most of them do anyway.   So in honor of the parents who love us so much, I must ask about the parents in anime, good and bad.   Well, what can you say...besides the fact that some are really good and some are really bad?   Some

You Thought this was a 2018 Anime, but Instead it was this: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Battle Tendency Arc)

One year after taking a crack at the Joestar family drama, I’m at it again, ladies and gentlemen!   Yeah, I’m not gonna hide it, I’ve been on a Jojo kick and this is the end result. But like I said last year, I feel it’s only to respectfully review this series by arc rather than in its entirty.   So let’s not wait any long and get on with this week’s review on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure , the Battle Tendency arc. Taking place during the World War II era, Battle Tendency follows Joseph Joestar, the grandson of Jonathan Joestar.   Having the innate ability to control hamon, Joseph (referred to as Jojo like his grandfather) becomes the target of a familiar threat faced by his grandfather.   Now learning that the stone masks similar to the one that transformed Dio Brando into a vampire are possessed by even more powerful forces, Jojo is taken all over the world to hone in on his hamon controlling skills.   This soon leads him to the Pillar Men, ancient immortal beings that not only use

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!   In spite of yet another busy work week, I have managed to squeeze in some time for this week’s review.   Still, I was glad to squeeze some time in cause let me tell you this week’s show was a riot!   I had it on my watch list ever since the trailer for it dropped, so I can definitively say that I’ve been very much looking forward to this review.   I’m excited right now, so I’m gonna get started on this week’s review of Magical Girl Ore . Saki Uno is an ordinary high schooler and failing pop idol.   However, things start to change somewhat when she is given the opportunity to become a magical girl.   She hesitantly takes up the offer only to save her love interest, idol mate’s brother, and successful idol Mohiro with her new found powers.   But things don’t go as expected as Saki learns that her magical girl form is in fact a muscular man in short dress...yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard that right.   In spite of this, she is able to save Mohi
