Character of the Year 2019 Has Been Chosen and Other Announcements!

Greetings, fabulous people of the Internet!   2019 and the 2010s have officially come to a close, and it’s time once again to announce my choice for Character of the Year.   But before I do that, I think I have some “e’s’plain’” to do.   December was admittedly a very busy time for me, so I had almost no time to make another video or do a written blog post.   The holidays took over and to add time to do anything related to the blog or YouTube Channel would have about done me over.   But the good news is that I plan to play catch up with my reviews with two video reviews this month!   Expect to see those very soon as well as a few other things (I’ll get to that).   But enough about that and let’s get to 2019’s Character of the Year. 2019’s Character of the Year is...Violet Evergarden from Violet Evergarden! I don’t think I can say much else about everyone’s favorite doll (NO SMARTDOLL PHOTOS PLEASE!) in that she is very much what you want to see in a great protagonist.   Quoti

Dragon Pilot: Dragons Away!

Greetings, fabulous people of the Internet!   Hanime on Anime here and welcome to what is the first written review in about a year (and I kinda miss it)!   And in continuing with Novembflix, do you like dragons?   Well, then you’ll love this show.   And as a fan of no particular taste of the creatures, I enjoyed the show.   But at the end of the day, that’s all it really seemed to have going for it.   That being said, let’s get started with today’s review on Dragon Pilot ! Set in a world where dragons are actual living creatures, Hisone Amakasu is a socially awkward pilot for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.   Stationed at the Gifu base, she later discovers the base’s dragon, or Organic Transformed Flyer (OTF for short) and soon becomes his pilot after choosing her.   This soon leads to a series of events that helps Hisone learn about herself and who she is and unlock some kind of ancient secret that could determine the fate of humanity, I guess.   Like I said before, there

Do you like Netflix?   How about red pandas?   Well how about heavy metal? If you like any of these things, then you love this review!   Watch today’s review on one of Netflix’s most popular shows and see whether or not it rocks hard (okay, that sounded really wrong)!  Be sure to stay tuned next week for the first written review in a while on the Netflix show Dragon Pilot !  -Hanime on Anime

In what has now been my actual longest review, I take a begrudging second look at what many claimed was the best anime of last year, so much so, it won Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year Award…is November here yet? Cause I’m ready for it.  Apologies in advance for lots of ranting.   Speaking of November, Novembflix is coming back next month.  Be sure to stick around for that! -Hanime on Anime

Character of the Month: Violet Evergarden

Image
Greetings, fabulous people of the Internet!  The end of September is upon us, and that means it’s time to unveil September’s (aka,  KyoAni  Month) Character of the Month!  This month’s pick was actually a no-brainer here as the other character I had in mind really couldn’t compare, but then again, if you watched my video review on  Sound !  Euphonium , I think you’d know why I didn’t pick that certain character.  Anyway, let’s talk about this month’s Character of the Month of September, Violet  Evergarden  from  Violet  Evergarden !   Since I just recently reviewed  Violet  Evergarden , I’ll keep the synopsis here brief.  Following the end of a war, Violet  Evergarden , a former child soldier, pursues work as an automated memories doll (DO NOT INSERT SMART DOLL PHOTOS HERE!) in order to understand the last words spoken to her by her commanding officer.  Those words being, “I love you.”  In learning the meaning  of  th o se words, Violet takes us on an emotional journey that not o
