Character of the Month: Akito Hyuga

Hello, fabulous people of the Internet!  Though it may not be the end of July just yet, it’s time to reveal this month’s Character of the Month.  As I mentioned last week, I’ll be off on my yearly visit to MechaCon next Sunday, so there won’t be a post then.  Then again, this is something of an annual thing, so I don’t think it should be much of a surprise.  Anyways, let’s talk about this month’s Character of the Month: Akito Hyuga from Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. I’ll skip the overall synopsis of the series since I reviewed this OVA last week.  But delving into more detail on this month’s Character, it becomes very apparent in the first episode that Akito possesses some sort of Geass ability.  Or rather, he’s under the control of some Geass power.  It’s confusing, but here’s a simpler way of explaining it: remember Suzaku’s Geass ability that drives him to live?  It’s pretty much the same concept, except Akito is ordered to die.  This power is so strong that Akito turns into

The OVA No One Really Asked for: Code Geass: Akito the Exiled

Hello, hello, everybody!  I’ve managed to get all caught up on my schoolwork, plus it’s given me an opportunity to look into a newly released OVA that had been on my radar for a while now.  If you regular readers of mine will recall, last April I reviewed the smash hit show Code Geass .  As it turns out, the show had become so popular that it created a spin off.  Hence this week’s review.  So without any further adieu, sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s review on Code Geass: Akito the Exiled ! This five episode OVA primarily follows a European battalion called the Wyvern Corp in the midst of a fight between the Euro-Britanian forces.  Among the most notable soldiers in this group is a Japanese, or Eleven, teen named Akito.  Unbeknownst to main protagonist of the series Lela Malcal, Akito possess some sort of Geass ability.  The battalion later gains three more Elevens to fight along with them.  And that’s all with as little spoilers as possible.  There’s also a smaller storylin

One Last Chance: One Punch Man (Re-Review)

Hello, hello, ladies and gentlemen!  July is here and so is Sunday, and that means it’s time for some more stuff from yours truly.  While many of you would expect to see a fresh new review at the start of the month, I decided to look back on one show that I think needs another chance at reviewing.  Then again, if you remember two weeks ago, I pretty much talked about this post.  And if you haven’t read the title already, I’ll be looking at the one hit wonder itself.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s re-review on One Punch Man ! My last review left One Punch Man at only three episodes. Needless to say, that’s pretty insufficient.  So picking up where I left off, both Saitama, the man who can defeat bad guys and giant monsters with one punch, and his cyborg disciple Genos decide to join the famed Hero Association.  Genos is placed as an S level hero while Saitama is left at the bottom with a C level ranking.  Even so, Saitama quickly moves up to become a B level hero by sea
