Hanime on Anime’s Character for the Month of June: Mshyu

Image
Well, it’s that time of the month-and I’m not referring to that time of the month!  Though it may seem a bit early, I’ve come to a decision on this month’s character of the month.  Though I just reviewed this anime, and I barely mentioned the character in the review, it was certainly a unanimous decision.  So now, without further delay, let’s learn more about June’s Character of the Month: Mshyu from C . Noting that I just recently reviewed C , and that the anime should be fresh on your mind, I’ll be brief with the synopsis.  So as you all remember from my C post, C is an anime that involves a young college student name Kimimaro Yoga, whose life gets turned upside down when he is taken to the Financial District.  He must then battle in Deals with his Asset Mshyu and protect his future, or lose everything. Now that I’ve refreshed your memory, let’s talk more about Mshyu.  The Assets that Entres use in deals are released using the card that they use to enter the Financial District.

Monsters and Economics!: C

Do you like Pokémon?  Do you like Digemon? How about Bakugan?  Now let me ask this, how do you feel about economics?  Yeah, I just deterred your attention.  Regardless, if any of these things spark your attention, do I have a show for you!  This week’s review is on a show that combines both, resulting in a sensation that is one of the darkest and most government-themed shows since Code Geass .  Anyways, let’s delve into C. Now this show goes by many names.  One is [C]-The Money of the Soul and Possibly Control .  Another is C-Control.   And then there is just C - for the sake of this review, we’re just going to call it C.  C is an anime that was released in 2011.  It follows a young college student Kimimaro Yoga, when his life-long dream of graduating college, getting a job and raising a family- yes, very original- gets turned upside down when he receives an invitation to enter a secret world called the Financial District.  Though not very willingly, he accepts the offe, and from th

One Word: R-r-r-redline!

I know that it’s only been a few weeks now, but I think it’s time that I got started on another anime film.  This week’s review is on, by far, one of the most beautifully animated films I have ever seen-and that’s not just in anime, but in animation overall.  And that’s interesting considering this is a movie that can compete with Fast and Furious -but Fast and Furious wasn’t animated.     Well, enough of my talking about the animation and let’s talk about the film itself. Redline is an anime film that was released back in 2009.  The plot chronicles “Sweet” J.P., a young racer with a retro style in racing-that is, everyone is driving hovercraft vehicles while he chooses to race in a Trans-Am-who is bent on becoming the best racer in the universe by competing in Redline, the most dangerous race in the universe.  And he also has one heck of a pompadour.   After losing Yellowline, a race that serves as a qualifier for competing in Redline, J.P. thinks that it’s all over for his caree

When Glee Meets Anime: Love Live!

If you can already tell by the title, yes.  This week’s review takes us back to the dreaded days when we had the musical high school drama that we all dribbled over when we were kids.  Though this show would fit into this category, it’s a lot better than what you would expect.  In fact, this one is starting to become one of my favorites.  So let’s learn a little more about this show, shall we? Love Live!: School Idol Project –also known simply as  Love Live! -is about a school idol group.    Now to explain what a school idol group is.  In Japan, some schools have what is called a school idol group.  Basically, it’s like a show choir, but they function more like a pop band.  Anyways, when her high school announces that it will no longer accept students because it is closing down, Honoka Kosaka decides she wants to do something about it.  So, she decides to start a school idol group.    At first, the group starts off with Honoka and her two friends Kotori and Umi, but eventually six

Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of May: Eren Jaeger

Hello all!  You may have noticed that I’ve done something al little different this week.  Unfortunately I’ve failed to inform you all about this new thing I have going, so I’ll do so now.  At the beginning of each month, I will be doing what I like to call “Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month.”  And seeing that it’s June 1, 2014, now would be a good time to start this.  To explain how this works, I will pick a character from one of the animes that I reviewed  for the month-which is May if I’m not mistaken- and explain why I like this character and why I chose it.  Simple.  This is something that I will be doing routinely.  Obviously, this will be my post for this week.  But for those of you who like my reviews, I will be post another review for the following week.  So, with that much said, let’s talk about my first Anime Character of the Month, Eren Jaeger-from my May 18 review on Attack on Titan . Eren Jaeger is the lead protagonist for Attack on Titan .  As the show starts ou
