Character of the Month of October…or not?

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen of the Internet!  I’m back from my two week hiatus, and I certainly needed it.  The past two weeks have been busy, but it’s nice to be able to sit down and post once again.  Though this week I feel like I’m dropping the ball a little bit.  And that’s been mostly with Character of the Month.  What do I mean by this?  Put bluntly, this Month’s Character of the Month is Trevor Belmont from Castlevania . Yeah, I know, Trevor is not an anime character, but I honestly thought that 18if was a pretty weak show for this month and could have been outdone with a number of other shows.  But I couldn’t help it; Trevor is just so awesome!  He’s lovable and awesome as a drunken traveler and even more so sober.  There’s just something about his wise-cracking attitude that just draws you in.  And when he starts to get more serious as the series progresses, he just becomes all the more lovable.  Trevor was just such a great character and a perfect example of what a

Double, double, toil and bubble ladies and gentlemen!  Cause this week, I’ve got a new anime review on an actual anime.  This week I decided to look at a fairly new show that had been on my watchlist for a while.  Granted, of the newer shows that came out earlier this year, there were others that would have been more appropriate to review.  But this time I wanted to review a show that was horror or supernatural that didn’t have vampires.  So sit back and relax, and hope you enjoy witches as I do this week’s review on 18if . Haruto Tsukishiro is a teenage boy trapped in a world of dreams.  While in this world, he later meets a professor named Katsumi Kanzaki, who has been researching the dream world for quite some time.  The two combat witches-girls suffering from Sleeping Beauty syndrome in the real- in hopes of waking them up and gaining further information about the dream world.  The pair also learns more about a mysterious girl in this world named Lilly. When I first sa

It’s Not an Anime, but I’m Reviewing It Anyway: Castlevania

Greetings, peoples!  October is here and that means it’s time for a horror-themed review!  But before I get into that, this review will be a little different.  Why?  Well…put bluntly…this isn’t an anime show.  Yeah, that was a mistake on my part, but I’m still going for it anyways.  There was so much hype for this show in the past several weeks it hit Netflix, and it’s been on my watchlist for some time.  Regardless, this was worth a good review.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s review on my first non-anime horror review on Castlevania . Based on the Japanese video game (maybe some more justification), this short four episode series is set in the kingdom of Wallachia during the late fifteenth century.  After his wife is falsely accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake, the infamous Dracula himself unleashed an army of demons to destroy the major cities of Wallachia and eventually the world.  This came after giving the Wallachians a year to realize their mistake.  M
