Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of July: Soma Yukihira

Image
Hello, people of earth!  I’m back from MechCon-which was awesome, by the way-and ready to reveal July’s Character of the Month!  I had some new shows for this month, but it was a little hard pick this month’s character.  In the end, I went with one that was a little more…how can I say it?  Not as controversial.  Still, this character was worth the pick.  With that much said, let’s talk about this month’s Character of the Month: Soma Yukihira from Food Wars! I reviewed Food Wars shortly before I left for MechaCon, so it should still be a little fresh.  I’ll try to be as brief as possible.  In the series, middle school graduate Soma Yukihira dreams of becoming a top chef like his father and eventually taking over the family restaurant.  Even though he can’t seem to surpass his father, his cooking tricks do prove cunning, especially when the restaurant is faced with being closed.  Unfortunately, Soma’s father closes the restaurant anyway...

Image
…Ladies and gentlemen…I am pulling a Hanime on Anime first.  For the first time ever, and in light of my recent absence- I did not have access to a decent Internet (Sorry)-, I have decided that this week’s post will be a double post!  This week, I’ll be doing Character of the Month of June, and a brand new anime review.  Ok, so without any delay, let’s get started! Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of June: Maka Albarn June was a pretty short month.  Granted, I had a one discussion post, but it was high and dry when it came for reviews.  Part of that was my fault in me not getting to a computer with Internet access while on vacation.  But anyways, regardless of how many reviews I did for June, this month’s Character of the Month was definitely a shoe-in.  Certainly an icon in the anime world, this character definitely packs a punch-and she doesn’t even punch!  That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I’m talking about the one and only Mak...
