Character of the Month of November: Momonga/Ainz Ooal Gown

Image
Greetings, everyone!  I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving and stocked up on turkey and other goodies.  But now I’m back and ready to unveil November’s Character of the Month.  In all honesty, this one really wasn’t hard to decide.  Being one of the most powerful and epic characters I’ve seen, I don’t think it was any surprise who took the title.  So enough beating around the bush and let’s get to this month’s Character of the Month, Momonga/Ains Ooal Gown from Overlord . After the sever to a long-running MMORPG shuts down, Momonga finds himself trapped within the world of Yggdrasil.  Wanting to know more about this strange world, he ventures out on a mission to gather as much information as he can, and later changes his name to Ainz Ooal Gown.  Although Ainz makes new friends and allies along the way, something sinister is happening.  But it shouldn’t be too big of a problem for Ainz to handle. Ainz is probably one of the most intere...

Attack on Parody!: Attack on Titan Junior High

Hello peoples!  Welcome back for another brand new review on a brand new show to hit the 2015 lineup!  The show I’ll be reviewing today is actually pretty fresh off the fall season line up.  Though I can’t say whether or not it’s the most talked about show of the season,  it may ring a bell for some fans of one show in particular.  Why bring up fans?  Well, many of you may remember the landslide phenomenon-not so much for this reviewer- Attack on Titan .  In one of the first anime parodies I’ve seen as an otaku, this fall lineup brought a hilarious spoof on the show’s entire concept.  So without any further delay, let’s get the scoop on one of the fall season’s funniest comedy animes, Attack on Titan: Junior High . Attack on Titan: Junior High still keeps the same characters that fans of the original Attack on Titan know and love.  But rather than living within the dystopian world of Wall Maria, Eren, Mikasa, and company all live in w...

Toonami’s Latest Dub all the Raid?: Akame ga Kill

Greetings, fellow earthlings!  Welcome back for another review on one of the new shows to hit the summer 2015 block.  This show, however, is a little different.  This week’s review will be on an English dub show that has been on the Toonami block for some time now.  Having watched the show for as long as it has aired on Toonami, it definitely sparked my interest for certain reasons-more to that later-, and now I’ve got the chance to review it.  So enough of me going on about it!  Let’s get going with this week’s review on Akame ga Kill ! The plot of Akame ga Kill focuses on the young Tatsumi who goes on a journey with his two childhood friends to help his poverty-stricken village.  After reaching the Capital and becoming separated from his friends, Tatsumi runs into some bad luck and finds himself broke and jobless.  However, he quickly learns after being taken in by a noble family that the rich and privileged are more sinister than he thoug...

O.O That's all.:Overlord

Greetings, earthlings!  The first day of November is here, which means it’s time for a new month of new reviews.  And today’s new review is on a new show that came out earlier this year.  Let me just say, you won’t believe what you see.   Believe me.   Just take a look at the picture.  I couldn’t even come up with a catchy title.  Anyways, let’s get started on this week’s review on the summer 2015 hit, Overlord . In 2126, a player on the popular Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game Yggdrasil cherishes his last few moments as the game’s server is being shut down.  The player, known as Momonga, quickly realizes that something is wrong when he still finds himself in the game once the server is shut down.  Not entirely sure of what is going on, he starts to dig for information about the world of Yggdrasil to hopefully find the answer to the bizarre situation.  However, with the help of the guild he runs within...
