Character of the Month of Novembflix: Meliodas

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!  Welcome back to the final portion of Novembflix, and the end of the month of November.  My first attempt at this new event was interesting in the sense that the shows were, well, interesting-and maybe not in the best of ways.  Still, of all the shows I reviewed, there was one character from this event that I absolutely adored; so this month’s pick was pretty easy.  So, let’s not stall anymore and talk about this month’s character of the month: Meliodas from The Seven Deadly Sins.
In the fantasy world of Britannia, Meliodas serves as the leader of a group of elite Holy Knights turned outlaws called the Seven Deadly Sins.  Ten years after the group is accused of treason and disbanded, Princess Elizabeth of the Liones family finds Meliodas as the owner of a traveling bar.  Elizabeth convinces him to find the other members of the Sins and stop the Order of the Holy Knights from starting an all out war.
Good Lord, Meliodas was one of the funniest protagonists I had ever seen in a long time.  And honestly, that was the one thing that won me over; his crude sense of humor.  In fact, his pervy moments are some of the funniest moments in the entire show.  Granted, he can be the over powered fighter when he needs to as proven in one of the earliest fights with the knight Gilthunder.  In fact, when I see Meliodas, he reminds me a lot of Vash the Stampede from Trigun.  One of the reasons why I love Vash so much is that he is such a dynamic protagonist in that he plays multiple roles within Trigun (the hero, the comic relief, and of course, the lecher).  Meliodas wasn’t as dynamic as Vash, but it was nice to at least get the hero and the lecher out of him.  So fight on, but stay out from under Elizabeth’s skirt, Meliodas, cause you’re Hanime on Anime’s Character of the Month of November, or Novembflix!
Next week I won’t be doing a review.  In fact, I actually have a special announcement to make.  No spoilers here!  Stay tuned next week to find out what’s going on!
